5 Habits to break in 2010

Everyone, and I mean everyone, has a bad habit(s).
Here are five common not-so-great habits, and how to break ’em for good.

1.) Bad habit: Nail Biting (lisha!!)

Stop now: Biting your nails makes for ugly hands and over time can interfere with normal nail growth
Break it: Go for a professional manicure once every 2 or 3 weeks, because when your nails look pretty, you'll be less likely to snack on them.

2.) Bad habit: Forgetting to Floss (ouch! meself)

Flossing helps prevent gum disease and keeps your teeth and gums looking good, but it may also stave off non-mouth-related diseases.
Break it: Buy a floss-holding device. Then incorporate flossing into your morning routine before or after brushing.

3) Bad habit: Late Night Fridge Raiding

Eating late at night in itself isn't bad for you, but chances are you're eating cold pizza instead of apple slices. Adding those extra calories does the late-night damage.
Break it Boredom, not hunger, is of the root cause of late-night eating. Once the craving hits, focus on an activity that engages you until it's time to go to sleep, such as e-mail, a crossword puzzle, or meditation. Buy iPhone.

4) Bad habit: Smoking (Liana! Aboo! Subly! Shahir! Dr. Shiraz! Dr. Fawzi! Husni! Jaja!, yeah Dr.s smoke too)

We don't need to remind you of all the health risks associated with smoking (heart attack, lung cancer, emphysema, and cancer of the mouth, throat, stomach, bladder, kidney, and cervix), but here's one you might not have considered: money. Lots of it.
Break it: Ask your doctor about drugs that can help kick-start your quitting process and help you combat cravings and withdrawal. Or, call Dr. Farihah/ Dr. Shiraz/ Dr. Fawzi.

5) Bad habit: Sun Worshipping

Blame it on Coco Chanel—before she returned golden brown from a Mediterranean vacation in the 1920s, pale skin was in. But until the Morticia Addams look comes back in style, stick to self-tanning lotion: The sun's UV rays damage your skin's DNA, increasing your risk of skin cancer (not to mention sunspots, sagging skin, and wrinkles).
Break it: Wear sunscreen daily on the parts of your body that are exposed to the sun, even during winter. Yeah, even ure in London during winter.

a late reply

+ i emailed my master's supervisor regarding the current research proposal, a week ago

+ thought she would reply my email after 2 days, but no, only yesterday she replied me back

+ anyway, i was asking what topic that related to my master's research should i propose

+ alang2 dah halfway research pasal aesthetics, sambung je lah kan

+ the application should be submitted WITH a research proposal

+ it took me a week to think

+ and it took me 2 hours to do the writings and come out with the prob statement/ background/ significant etc

+ The Pshycology of Aesthetics in Architectural and Urban Design, that is !
+ in the reply my supervisor sent me, "There are sooo many topics that u can select, I would think environmental architecture would be easier to handle for your research as it is quite straight forward S&T. So many issues like green building, sustainability, building performance, etc."
+ hoo yeah! sustainability. ill relate it to my proposed topic.
+ it is too late to do a new proposal
+ great, she replied me after i sent the form.
+ pray for me, but im not even sure to accept or not IF dapat.
+ stilllllll, i need your prayers ;)

* my supervisor is Dr Sabarinah Sh. Ahmad. She's Ex-TKCian....;p

Fast facts:

1. It was my first run 2. The route was hilly 3. semput jugak 4. I finished the 7.48 km in 59 minutes 5. I burned 426 callories 6. had nasi lemak ayam at Village Park after the run 7. ..and gained all the callories back 8. I was wearing my Adidas Supernova shoes, the newly bought shoes ;) 9. and sebenarnya...from head to toe..its all new! hahahah 10. semangat perlu ada 11. So, whats next? New Balance's Pacesetter Run (10km)..? Putrajaya Night Run (7.7km)..? Im innnnn! 12. ...eh not sot fast facts ek?..panjang pulak

great weekend

+ i had a great weekend, what about u?
+ went for a jogging with faha and kiau on saturday evening
+ im happy that i can run 3.6km (nonstop) at the pace of 7:12mins/km, and im sure my bf is proud of me too ;)
+ (im glad to have a bf to share my happiness with)

+ anyway, we had gulam mee with jaja
+ oh i bought myself 2 books to read, im not that terel,
so this is my way to make myself a bit terel
+ *terel is actually not the right word. Heh

+ went to RSYC (Royal Selangor Yacht Club) on Sunday
+ dad went earlier than us to join Off-Shore Fishing Competition
+ he managed to catch a kerapu
+ anyway, there only 4 of us (mama, amir, mirah and meself)
+ kami berlumba kapal selam (menyelam sambil berenang)
+ it was fun, tambah lagi to find out that my youngest sister cheated
+ she wasn't actually swimming, berjalan instead, lalu menang

+ i look so chubby, can u see?
+ look at amir's middle finger, notty dia nih

+ so yea, i had a great weekend ;)
